Trend Alert: All-Over Eye Liner
Who’s rocking the look in Hollywood, and how to pull it off

Actress Malin Akerman showed off all-around eye liner at the London premiere of her movie Watchmen last night—and she’s not alone! Many of the models on the fall runways have been wearing this rock-and-roll trend too: At Yigal Azrouël, makeup artist Polly Osmond said she used several shades of black to achieve bold peepers. But if thick, charcoal-colored eyes aren’t your thing, no worries—to soften the look, apply a lighter-hued shade along your lower lash line like Akerman did, or put your blending skills to good use: “Blending is key,” says NARS International Makeup Director Ayako. “

Kate Winslet’s Winning Hairstyle
How the star achieved her Grace Kelly-inspired Oscar coif
“The inspiration was Grace Kelly,” says Renato Campora, who styled Winslet’s hair for Frédéric Fekkai.

“I wanted to aspire to her look—the Oscars were the perfect occasion.” To begin, Campora applied Fekkai More All Day Density Styling Whip on wet hair, and blow-dried with a round brush to create volume. Next, he used a 1-inch curling iron; after letting curls set for 20 minutes, he massaged Fekkai Coiff Magnifique Ultra Light Finishing Crème into strands and brushed through “to create body wave and shape.” In creating the perfectly-crafted roll at the nape of Winslet’s neck, Campora teased the bottom section of Winslet’s hair and tucked under. Combing sleek strands over this base, he then pinned and finished with Frédéric Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray. “
