Chanel Introduces Ultra Correction Lift Skin Care

Posted by admin On August - 27 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

CHANEL has introduced Ultra Correction Lift, a line of four products that uses a plant-based protein.

According to the scientists at CHANEL Beaute, a lifted and toned appearance requires more than a boost of collagen and elastin. It also requires TENSIN, a critical protein, naturally abundant in young skin, that anchors and connects cells to the skin’s dermal network. CHANEL scientists discovered that the key to helping restore tensin to its youthful level is Elemis PFA*, an exclusive, powerful ingredient targeted to stimulate the production of this age-defying protein.

There are four products in the ULTRA CORRECTION LIFT line

  • ULTRA CORRECTION LIFT Sculpting Firming Concentrate 5.0 oz. $165.00
  • ULTRA CORRECTION LIFT Lifting Firming Day Fluid SPF15 1.7 oz. $150.00
  • ULTRA CORRECTION LIFT Lifting Firming Day Cream SPF15 1.7 oz. $150.00
  • ULTRA CORRECTION LIFT Lifting Firming Night Cream 1.7 oz. $165.00

She said “I’m trying to develop a line with a drugstore so that it is affordable for everyone. We’ve researched for two to three years. Winter Skin Care

Posted by admin On January - 10 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

A. Vitamin A
It’s hard to find a derm who doesn’t love vitamin A in the form of topical retinol, one of the most effective weapons in the antiaging arsenal. When converted by the skin into retinoic acid, vitamin A boosts collagen production, stimulates cell turnover, and reduces the size and secretion of sebaceous glands, making it a potent cure-all for wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and acne. While stronger retinoic acids are available only by prescription, retinol—a milder form of vitamin A—is widely available over the counter.

B. Butter
Derived from the nut of the African karate tree, shea is one type of butter you can pile on guilt-free. It mimics skin’s own lipids, protecting it from irritation and speeding up its repair process.

C. Coffee
Talk about a wake-up call: Applied topically, vasoconstricting caffeine reduces redness and deflates undereye puffiness. Plus, the extract of the coffeeberry has 10 times the antioxidant power of other polyphenols such as green tea and pomegranate.

D. Vitamin D
Just a few minutes of sun exposure is enough to soak up a hefty dose of UVB rays, which help skin synthesize vitamin D, a proven deterrent to osteoporosis and heart disease. There’s no excuse for a bake-off, though—salmon and milk restock the nutrient without the risk of that other D: sun damage.

How to Care Dry Skin

Posted by admin On December - 28 - 2008 ADD COMMENTS

Sometimes when one suffers from dry skin the thought is they can re-moisturise their skin by bathing it in water. Doing this will in fact make things worse, as it removes the protective sebum (oil layer) from the skin, making skin more prone to drying than before. Some of the best ways to re-hydrate skin are:

  • Have a healthy balanced diet full of foods which contain sulphur, Vitamin A, B and C which are all great for the skin.
  • Wash with good soap products such as Dove or Olay, which don’t dry skin so much.
  • Don’t bathe more than once if you can help it. Bathing excessively removes the protective sebum (oil layer) from the skin.
  • Use lukewarm water when bathing, hot water dries the skin out more.
  • Use a good moisturising cream, particularly after shaving.
  • If you can afford it, buying an air humidifier to use throughout the winter months can help counter the drying effects of central heating usage.

Honey Mask for Well Balanced Skin

Posted by admin On November - 17 - 2008 ADD COMMENTS

Honey is the perfect balancing treatment and moisturizer.

I’ve heard that honey has antiseptic, healing properties that have been used to heal infections. All I know is that honey may be the perfect product. It makes the best facial mask, hair conditioner, and tea / food sweetener. Honey fights infections, acne, and dry skin…so in my opinion, it’s a must for every woman’s skincare regime.

Homemade Beauty Tips How To: All you need is honey. This is an easy, natural mask for people with dry or acne prone skin. After washing your face, gently apply honey with your hands to your face, lips, and eyelids. After 10 – 20 minutes, gently rinse it off. I’ve found it to be an excellent moisturizing treatment, and perfect to remove dry patches on skin or lips.

Homemade Beauty Tips Hint: Depending on the type of honey you use, the mask tends to get drippy quickly so it’s best to do this treatment over the sink or in the shower. You can even use it as a hair conditioner or mix it in with your conditioner for shinier hair.

    Caring for combination skin

Posted by admin On November - 7 - 2008 ADD COMMENTS

If you have determined that you have combination skin, the products you use to care for it are very important. Before you begin spot-treatments for your problem areas, however, remember to first attend to your face as a whole.

Cleanse your face with a mild cleanser up to twice daily. Washing your face less than this could leave excess dirt and oil to clog your pores. Washing more than twice daily could suck moisture out of your dry areas, causing redness and irritation.

    For Oily Areas

If you apply moisturizers, use only oil-free types, and use minimally. Apply a gentle astringent or a toner formulated for combination skin upon these areas. Use oil-free and/or oil-absorbing cosmetics on these areas to control shine. Matte-type foundation and dusting powders help to absorb oil. Removing make-up each might before bed is important because oil-prone areas can thrive under make-up.

At least once each week, apply a mask formulated to fight oil and blackheads. Only apply it to your oily areas! A natural–and inexpensive–alternative is oatmeal. Add a tiny bit of water and apply to the face. Let it sit until it dries.

Hair care can sometimes play a role in oily skin. If your hair holds grease and oils, wash it at least every other day with an oil-reducing shampoo.

    For Dry Areas

Avoid alcohol-based cleansers, and don’t use soaps since they tend to have a drying effect. Wash the normal-to-dry areas of your face very gently. Don’t scrub or rub too hard; to do so could cause over-drying and irritation. Use astringent sparingly. Then apply a moisture-rich cream or moisturizer. Make sure to avoid your T-zone or the oiliest part of your face–it doesn’t need any more oil.
