Fashion is On

All about fashion, beauty and jewellry

Curvy model Crystal Renn has added another feather to her crown with Chanel Reopening September 2010 ad campaign shot in a studio in Paris. Crystal Renn along with Baptiste Giabiconi are featured in campaign for reopening of Chanel store on Spring Street in SoHo in September.

Choosing Crystal Renn for Chanel reopening campaign is shocking as Karl Lagerfeld had made a statement earlier that fashion doesn’t want curvy women. Everyone including Crystal Renn is shocked at being part of this campaign and says it is “proudest moment of my life.” Crystal Renn has also walked runway for Chanel Resort 2011 Collection.

Chanel Ombres Contraste Duo Eyeshadows

Posted by admin On August - 20 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

This fall luxurious textures and intense pigments have been all the rage among the high-end makeup lines, and while these duos may not look the part at first, they’re no exception.

Each one comes with a light cream shadow designed to be used as a base and a darker powder matte shadow for contouring and creating the illusion of depth.

Conveniently, skin is where these products really POP! — both in terms of color and texture — and being as smooth as they are makes them remarkably easy to blend.

CHANEL Flight Of Fancy

Posted by admin On July - 20 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

CHANEL has looked to the first ever fine jewellery collection designed by Mademoiselle Coco in 1932 for its latest haute joaillerie collection. A selection of the Plumes de Chanel range was unveiled in Paris during Couture Week and the entire collection is set to be exhibited in September as part of the Biennale des Antiquaires, in a 75-square-metre space designed by Peter Marino. In an ode to Coco’s creative vision, the jewellery is inspired by the feather motif explored by Gabrielle Chanel in 1932 and the centrepiece is an oversized, fully articulated brooch that can be worn anywhere on the body.

Chanel Couture Fall 2010

Posted by admin On July - 9 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Karl Lagerfeld has often insisted that his collections come to him in dreams, but following his new Chanel couture show, he claimed the dream this time had been a nightmare. “No, no, just kidding,” he quickly added, but there was a weight to the clothes that suggested a darker thread in Chanel this season. Compared to the glistening sci-fi whites of his Spring couture, these looks had a moody tinge. The colors, for a start: maroon, loden, navy, brown, camel. Next, the fabrics. As the show unfolded, there were velvet trims on shadow plaids, crystal trims on camel, fur trims on tweed. Dark tapestry was crusted with embroidery and beading. Imperial gold detailing against a field of navy sequins made Freja Beha Erichsen look like a girl waiting for her Ruritanian soldier.

Then there were the proportions—tiered, short-over-long. A cropped jacket with elbow-length sleeves topped a high-waisted, to-the-knee skirt—a look that combined elongation and bulk in a way that was intriguing though likely to pose a challenge to many bodies.

Chanel Resort 2011

Posted by admin On June - 12 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

It was like something out of a quintessential Riviera movie. With the sun setting over the sea, hundreds of Chanel’s invited guests sitting in the red wooden chairs of Saint-Tropez’s famous Sénéquier, and many more onlookers piling onto balconies and pressing against barricades, Natasha Poly, Anja Rubik, and the rest of Karl Lagerfeld’s cast arrived at Quai Jean Jaurès via speedboat. And like the carefree starlets and jet-setters they were channeling, the models traipsed down the street-cum-runway often barefoot, wearing seventies-ish diaphanous caftans, long crocheted dresses, ruffle-lapelled silk jersey trouser suits, and patchwork denim skirts. Tanned and toned midriffs peeked out beneath a cropped sweater here or a button-down there, its hems tied in a saucy bow.

Posted by admin On November - 27 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Karl Lagerfeld’s latest Metier D’Arts collection for Chanel will be unveiled on Dec. 3 in Shanghai, where the French house has just opened a new boutique in the Peninsula Hotel.

This is the eighth Metier D’Arts collection to follow previous events in Paris, Tokyo, New York, Monaco, London and Moscow – all locations that have a link with Chanel. Although Coco Chanel never visited China, she developed a strong interest in Asian arts and antiques, so Lagerfeld decided to bring to life the collection she never had a chance to create.

Chanel Introduces Ultra Correction Lift Skin Care

Posted by admin On August - 27 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

CHANEL has introduced Ultra Correction Lift, a line of four products that uses a plant-based protein.

According to the scientists at CHANEL Beaute, a lifted and toned appearance requires more than a boost of collagen and elastin. It also requires TENSIN, a critical protein, naturally abundant in young skin, that anchors and connects cells to the skin’s dermal network. CHANEL scientists discovered that the key to helping restore tensin to its youthful level is Elemis PFA*, an exclusive, powerful ingredient targeted to stimulate the production of this age-defying protein.

There are four products in the ULTRA CORRECTION LIFT line

  • ULTRA CORRECTION LIFT Sculpting Firming Concentrate 5.0 oz. $165.00
  • ULTRA CORRECTION LIFT Lifting Firming Day Fluid SPF15 1.7 oz. $150.00
  • ULTRA CORRECTION LIFT Lifting Firming Day Cream SPF15 1.7 oz. $150.00
  • ULTRA CORRECTION LIFT Lifting Firming Night Cream 1.7 oz. $165.00
