In what can only be described as a natural progression for anation’s sweetheart who’s constantly applauded for hersense of style, Cheryl has opened up about her desire to start her own fashion line.

‘I would love to make my own clothing range,’ the X Factor judge said during a web chat broadcast live on MySpace. ‘But if I ever do it, I would like to put the time and effort in properly and do the whole thing myself.’

Cheryl Cole stormed the X Factor on Saturday night with a show-stopping performance of her new solo single, Fight For This Love.

Proving the critics wrong, she appeared to sing over a pre-recorded version while performing an energetic dance routine with an army of male dancers.
Wearing a red, peaked shouldermilitary jacket, a peaked cap, a sheer bodystocking and harem pants with slits down the side – showing her super-toned pins – Cheryl, 26, proved that not only are her popstar credentials are up to scratch, her fashion nous is also right on the money.

That famous tumbling mane might be staring out from L’Oréal ads all over the country, but Cheryl Cole seems to have ditched the big-and-bouncy look, for a new penchant for plaits.

Arriving at the Radio 1 studios this morning, Mrs Cole worked sailor chic in an anchor motif sweater and paint-splattered jeans.

But it was her loose single plait that really caught our eye – the same style she wore for the first X Factor live show.

Plans have been revealed to move The X Factor over toAmerica, with Cheryl lined up to become one of the judges on the singing talent show.

Simon Cowell is said to be in talks with the Fox Network to transfer the hugely popular show to the States.

Hollywood Reportermagazine said Simon and Fox are still negotiating contracts and no firm deal has yet been agreed.

But if The X Factor does transfer across the Atlantic, it could make Cheryl one of the most successful stars on US and British television.

X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has signed a worldwide deal with L’Oréal Paris that will see her become the face of a range of beauty products targeted at British women. The Girls Aloud star, who will be the first British women to represent the brand since a 20-something Kate Moss in 1998, has signed an initial one-year deal. “I have always loved the brand and have always wanted to say the iconic phrase ‘because you’re worth it’ so to be given that opportunity is absolutely amazing,” said Cheryl. “Every woman has the right to feel beautiful and L’Oréal Paris makes that aspiration achievable”.

After what seemed like forever in the waiting, the X Factor  finally back on our screens in the UK and I already have two favourites.

Stacey Soloman from Dagenham who has an angelic ’singing’ voice, and Danyl Johnson the school teacher who gave me goosebumps. My other favourite was of course Cheryl Cole, who promised that she will not cry as much this season.

Watching the X Factor I was able to pick out Cheryl wearing her Tibi bow fronted skirt.

Cheryl Cole has become one of the UK’s style icons since her time on the X Factor. Now, the Geordie lass has decided to revamp her look and dye her hair a deep cherry colour.

The shade is reminiscent of former X Factor judge Sharon Osborne and seems to suit Mrs Cole particularly well. Speaking to Elle, Cheryl explained that she went red as it was “the only colour I actually haven’t been”.

Cheryl Cole has reportedly been offered a £2million “golden handcuffs” deal with ITV.

According to the News of the World, the Girls Aloud star’s £820,000 salary as a judge on The X Factor is set to rise to £1.1million next year and she has also been offered another £1million to host other prime-time shows.

A source at the channel told the newspaper: “This is an enormous coup for ITV.

“Cheryl has major appeal across ages and genders for her beauty and down-to-earth personality.

“Times are tough in telly land like everywhere else. But the option of bringing someone of Cheryl’s calibre into the station is too good to pass up.”

“In the past year, Cheryl Cole has become everyone’s style crush,” Glamour editor Jo Elvin wrote in the latest edition of the magazine which hits British stores.

“She’s ridiculously gorgeous, beautifully groomed and always glossy, glossy, glossy,” she added of Cole, a member of Girls Aloud who has appeared as a judge on TV talent show “The X Factor” and is married to England soccer star Ashley Cole.
