Sue Devitt Adds Fragrance: Golden Temple Effusion

Makeup artist Sue Devitt, who hails from Australia, will launch a new, limited-edition fragrance entitled Golden Temple Effusion inspired by her love of travel and encounter with the religious temple architecture of Thailand.

The scent, which was developed by IFF, is the olfactory interpretation of an “…early-morning mist rising from Thailand’s bamboo forests,”.

The composition includes notes of rainforest woods, wild lily and red berries, which makes it another perfume yet to add to the Lily Trendthis fall together with YSL Belle d’Opium, Calvin Klein Beauty, Mary J. Blige My Life.

Orla Kiely Launches her First Fragrance

Over the last decade, Orla Kiely has created a brand of distinctive womenswear, accessories, travel and homeware. Orla now introduces her first signature fragrance; a light floral scent which has been inspired by nature. Orla partnered with KMI Brands, who are also behind Ted Baker fragrances, to create this scent.

Orla Kiely Eau de Parfum begins with top notes of green tea, peach and bergamot. The heart is a fragrant bouquet of rose absolute and delicate white flowers blended with a subtle touch of chocolate and osmanthus. Sensual musks, tonka bean, cedarwood and sandalwood combine to create the base.

Stepping out for a promotional appearance, Jennifer Aniston was spotted at Harrods department store in London.

The “Bounty Hunter” babe was in the house to launch her new fragrance, as well as meet and greet the fans who showed up to buy a bottle of her perfume.

Of the new scent, Jen noted that she was going for a very specific effect, setting her fragrance apart from its peers.

Ms. Aniston explained, “I am not a big perfume-y fragrance fan. I want people to go ‘what is that? You smell great!’ But most of all, I wanted it to smell natural.

Sarah Jessica Parker Launching New Fragrance

Sarah Jessica Parker’s newest fragrance, SJP NYC, includes a large dollop of her “Sex and the City” alter ego, Carrie Bradshaw – and Coty Prestige plans to leverage the relationship to the hilt. While the actress kept mum on details related to the sequel of her 2008 blockbuster film, slated for a May release, Coty’s already working with the film’s producers and distributors to leverage the relationship, noted Carlos Timiraos, group vice president of global marketing, celebrity fragrances, for Coty Prestige.

Details of the plan are still in development, although in-store appearances and promotions tied to the movie’s premiere are planned. Promotion vehicles will include cosmetics bags, bangles and a reversible tote bag. “We did some activity around the first ‘Sex and the City’ movie, but didn’t have another new scent coming out at that time,” Timiraos noted. “After that movie did around $500 million globally, we bet on the expectation that lightning would strike twice, and we began developing SJP NYC.”

Originally a code name for the scent, SJP NYC moniker stuck, in part due to the fragrance’s inspiration. The scent, a fruity floral by Parker and Firmenich’s Honorine Blanc, has top notes of Italian mandarin, white osmanthus and wild red strawberries; a heart of gardenia, honeysuckle, mimosa and red rose damascenia, and a drydown of sandalwood, vanilla absolute, rum flavor and creamy musks.
